What?—Courses We'll Chart

The theme of this year's Camp Inquiry is "Young Minds, Big Questions." Who am I? Why am I here? What can I know? What ought I to do? Once the domain of theological and speculative thought, these questions are now increasingly being addressed by the sciences. "Young Minds, Big Questions" serves the Center for Inquiry's central mission of elucidating the philosophical, moral, and cultural implications of the scientific outlook.

Campers will explore where we fit in the cosmic narrative offered by cosmology, evolutionary science, and neurobiology. They will inquire into the prospects for morality in a naturalistic universe. And they will be introduced to the methods of epistemology and informal logic as tools for constructing a coherent worldview.

This also serves as the title of a short feature documentary that campers will produce, write, and direct as the capstone of their summer experience.
